news – sarah green's "the art of jackass" show

Some people would be hard pressed to find any artistic merit in jackass, but that's just because they've got an upright stick in their ass and fail to see the creative forest through a few stupid trees. A while back though, we befriended an artist by the name of Sarah Green, who took a fancy to our antics and has since created a number of portraits and works inspired by the cast, crew and crap of jackass.

On October 14th, her show "The Art of Jackass" opens at The Thought Gallery in Los Angeles with a reception at 9:00pm (and considering the proximity to the Hollywood premiere of jackass 3D the night before there are sure to be a few notable faces in the crowd).

During the hey-days of jackassworld.rip, we posted an interview with Sarah (featured below) that Jeff Tremaine conducted in the hallowed caverns of our former asbestos-laced, rat- and flea-infested office in Hollywood. Some of the information is irrelevant now, e.g. the random art contest throw, but Jeff and Sarah soon cut to the meat 'n' potatoes of her work so just ignore those outdated references and directives.
