On June 20, 2011, Ryan Dunn passed away in a tragic, late-night car accident. The suddenness of his death stunned and deeply affected not only close friends and family but a legion of worldwide fans that had grown up watching Dunn’s unabashed antics on the television and movie screen.
In the weeks to follow we posted numerous memorials here on the site (including the video below), but now it’s time to properly celebrate the memory of Ryan with stories and remembrances from those whose lives he’d touched over the years with his genuine friendship, candor and mirth.
Combined with raw footage from his earliest days with Bam Margera and the CKY crew in West Chester, Pennsylvania, to truly never-before-seen moments on jackass, Ryan’s life—from the ri-goddamn-diculous to the intimately poignant—is bared and shared in this heartfelt hour-long tribute that proves even though he is gone his legacy remains and he will never be forgotten.
“It’s a surreal thing to undertake, doing a tribute to our brother Ryan's life. I still can’t believe he’s gone but we wouldn’t trust anyone else with this, so we are doing the best we can for Ryan, his family, friends, and everyone who loved him,” said, Johnny Knoxville.
A Tribute to Ryan Dunn premieres Monday, November 28, at 10:30pm ET/PT on MTV.
This same night, an all-new episode of Ridiculousness will air at 10:00pm ET/PT, featuring a guest-star appearance by Dunn that was taped earlier this year, while a special encore presentation of jackass 3.5 will be broadcast immediately following the tribute at 11:30pm ET/PT.

i miss him so much and i know so many other fans do too...we never even met him...just shows how much of a likeable guy he is. i'm gunna be an emotional wreck through the whole thing but i'll still watch it for him. RIP ryan XXX

I grew up watching Dunn and all the other Jackass guys! JAckass will never be the same nor will Bam, weeman everybody that was his friends and his family and fans! I miss you Dunn..........

I miss you Dunn! especially after watching some old Jackass dvd's and the thing i loved was his joy and laughter in Jackass 3(D). Just watch the interview with Bam and Dunn on Jackass 3 or might be 3.5
Such a loss for his family and friends and the jackass fans.
Love Roger Alan Wade's song in this tribute! Dunn loved his music and Roger loved Dunn as a friend as i've read in one of the tribute stories. probably Knoxville's.
Keep on smiling up there Dunn! we love you bro. even though i/we've never met you in real life.

Losing him was bad enough, but watching Bam Margera completely break down at the site of the accident really made me sad. I'm sure Bam was completely destroyed by the loss of his dear friend, and I can feel his pain.

Glad to see Ryan finally get his due by the good folks at Jackass and MTV. You know Rolling Stone Magazine never even mentioned his passing at all? Ryan Dunn died because of something he loved doing. He was a Jack-Ass and the world loved him for it. When he died I just said "No..." It felt like losing a friend... He's not the person who learned from his mistakes but, embraced it. When you fall down you get right back up again, until that one day. RIP Ryan Dunn. Always in our hearts.

I may not have known him but I watched the jackass crew while I was in middle school and then
On into high school and so on. when my friends and I hurd what happend it was like one of us

Man, this is gonna be hard to watch..
Though I didn’t know him personally I originally saw the cky vids when I was just about 8 or 9. From then I knew he was a cool guy and had a great future in television. I’m upset I never got the chance meet him, but he lived life they way he wanted to. That’s all someone could ever ask for. He'll will never be forgotten. Rest in peace Dunn, I hope to see you on the other side. My prayers go out to the families and friends of the deceased. God bless.

Still haven't seen Jackass 3 yet. I'm not sure if I will at this point...don't get me wrong, I don't mean any disrespect to the Jackass crew, and especially not to Dunn (my favorite Jackass). I was really looking forward to seeing it, but it just won't be the same as if I had seen it before. ...I'm sorry I've gotta be such a pussy about this Dunn. But maybe some day when it doesn't hurt this badly, I'll put it aside to watch your last glorious act as a Jackass. Trust me, I really hope that day will come. RIP Ryan. Love ya man.
